An Evening of the Arts: Women of the Woods

In this design the choreographer gave me three paintings as inspiration for the costumes to be based off of. The dance piece told the story of these organic beings performing a hypnotic dance to seduce a young man lost in the forest. Whether their intentions were evil or benign is unclear, they paint a beautifully strange portrait with there movements. The choreographer want the costumes to be fluid and simple, almost regal in the depths of a dark and grungy forest.
